To Those Who Doubt Along the Way

Life is a journey. It is a long-way trip towards your dreams and aspirations. The end is clear, but the road seems rough and ominous. You always believe that your goal is attainable, yet setbacks hinder you from moving forward. You don't know where it leads you, but one thing holds yourself from continuing your mission - hope.

Hope is faithfully expecting and for a particular thing to happen. When reviewing, you hope to get a high mark even with those difficult subjects. During class recitations, you hope to get questions that you fully know. In sports, you hope to get that W over strong opponents. The same thing happens in life. You constantly hope that everything will go along your favor. However, that is not always happening. Life is not what you want to be. It is not the perfect thing you want to experience.

Because of the thorns making you bleed while holding the rose of your dreams, you suddenly stopped holding that hope. The confidence that you can achieve your purpose became your insecurity. You let go of the fire that keeps your heart burning to light up your ambitions. That belief in yourself turned out to be an uncertainty. You suddenly lose interest in what makes you happy, to the stuff that makes you alive. You step backward instead of moving forth.

Reaching your end is tiring; it's draining. That feeling is a knife that is slowly pounding into your heart, causing extreme pain. During this time, when you choose to stop, it is time for you to refresh your mind.  You are not quitting, but only resting. If you are ready, step again to the road towards your dreams. Reilluminate the hope to keep going. The process is challenging but always possible. Bring back the hope that today is another opportunity to compose yourself and be your best version. Remember that life is not a race. It is not how quick you go or how often you rest. Instead, it's the matter of worth you instill to yourself along the journey. In the end, the fruit of your grit and hope will pay off. You'll realize that despite all the tears and pain, you already moved mountains and crossed self-limiting boundaries.
